Taylor Swift in Concert
(Friday, 5 December 2014 – Saturday, 31 October 2015)
Taylor Swift has 60 concerts coming up as part of her 1989 tour which will include the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Germany. She will be travelling with 13 new musicians for this venture.
The music is somewhat of a departure from the live drums, acoustic guitars, electric guitars and bass. The music of 1989 employs the use of synths, automated drums, epic synth pad sounds, key bass and layered vocals. She considers the album her first official pop release. Rob Sheffield of Rolling Stone said that it was “deeply weird, feverishly emotional, wildly enthusiastic, 1989 sounds exactly like Taylor Swift, even when it sounds like nothing she’s ever tried before.”
Swift only wrote one song from the album by herself the others being co-written with Jack Antonoff, Imogen Heap, Ryan Tedder, Max Martin, Shellback and Ali Payami.
