Cosplay Fun: Be Who You Want to Be!
Lots of people around the world indulge in some cosplay fun during the year. Cosplay means costume play and is considered a performance art. Those who wear costumes are referred to as cosplayers. They wear costumes and accessories to become a character they like or to create their own character.
Popular characters cosplayers depict come from the worlds of manga and anime, comic books and cartoons, video games, and live-action films.
The hobby of cosplaying has seen enormous growth especially in Japan since 1990. If you wish to join the ranks check out fan conventions, dedicated conventions and local and international competitions on-line. The photos in this collection will give you an idea of some avenues to go down.
Below are some cosplayers having some cosplay fun! My thanks to those who contributed images to Wiki Commons. Click on any of the images to see it in it’s full resolution.
