Friendship: The Vibrant and Fresh Protocol

The Vibrant and Fresh Protocol of Friendship Will Help Bring Peace and Tranquility to Your Mind

It’s troubling when friendships that really matter to us become cold and distant. Some of us have a tendency to let it continually bother us or cause us to be overly clingy.

This kind of thing in the past has definitely at times weighed heavily on my mind. I think a number of things have conspired though to get me to the point where my mind and my emotions are able to process it so much better than before. One of these things I call the Vibrant and Fresh protocol. There is a story I like to tell when talking about this.

A woman had a vase of beautiful flowers. One day she noted that a prized rose of hers had lost it’s petals. It troubled her greatly yet she let it remain in the vase. She couldn’t bare to part with it. Every time she saw it she felt a sense of loss. Another friend of hers noted this and replaced it with a most splendid rose. When the woman saw it she realized how silly she had been. It became obvious to her that it is with vibrant and fresh flowers that her attention should be focused on.

As ridiculous as the story may sound how many of us have been continually troubled by a friend who no longer seems to value our company or who is sorely distracted by life?

I embrace the vibrant and fresh friendships of my life and I encourage you to do so, too. For it is here that the joy of friendship is to be found.

  1. The vibrant and fresh protocol is certainly not the first think I think of when troubling friendships come to mind. Rekindling friendships, resolving friendship conflicts or just giving friends I really care about more ‘rope’ are the kinds of things I think about first.

Sometimes though adopting a vibrant and fresh protocol is the way to go. For example, a former close friend who takes several steps back in a friendship. You sense that the very nature and status of the friendship has changed. That he or she no longer shows any initiative and have become a shadow of the friend you use to know.

Adopting a vibrant and fresh protocol has given me a lightness of being that reminds me of my carefree childhood. A peaceful and tranquil mind.
