Snapshot Multiplayer – What Hardware and Software is Bringing to the Table of Gaming in 2014.

As a fun project I thought I’d try to gauge the heights we have achieved concerning multiplayer and the social connection capabilities of consoles, handheld gaming consoles, the personal computer and smart phones some of which should be debuting the new Tegra K1 this year.

Hardware and the software that runs it allows us to connect with others in fun and exciting ways. To communicate and play together in real time, share special moments of gaming by video or photos and having friends watch our gaming prowess live. We really do live in exciting times.

I have written this in a positive, upbeat way focusing on what has been achieved rather than mentioning the inherent problems and flaws that are often commented on. If I’ve missed anything important especially recent developments please let me know in the comments section. Thanks.
